Police: 16-year-old girl missing in NJ found safe

PERTH AMBOY, New Jersey (WABC) -- Police in New Jersey say they have safely located a missing 16-year-old girl.

Sofia Eugenio, of Perth Amboy, was last seen around 2 p.m. Tuesday, when investigators say she was dropped off near Highland Terrace in Fords to see her 18-year-old boyfriend.

The circumstances of her being found are not yet known, however police say she is safe.
