NYPD trying to identify 'Maria' found in Bronx

NEW YORK (WABC) -- Police are looking for help finding someone who knows a woman who was found standing in the Bronx, but could not fully identify herself.

On Friday evening around 7:40, a woman was found standing in front of 11 E. 199 St. She identified herself as "Maria," but could not provide any further information.

She is elderly, Hispanic and in her 70s. She is about 5 feet 1 inch and is 160 pounds, according to the New York City Police Department.

The woman is currently at Montefiore Hospital.
