Mount Sinai home targeted by 2 masked men in early morning home invasion

MOUNT SINAI, N.Y. (WABC) -- Two masked men robbed a Mount Sinai home in a home invasion.

The men entered a home on Canal Road around 1 a.m. Thursday, where at least one person was home.

They stole cash and possibly a gun, according to the Suffolk County Police Department.

At least one resident was in the home at the time, and at some point chased the suspects. There were no injuries

There have been no arrests; Suffolk police searched using a helicopter and K9 units for hours but were unable to locate either suspect. The investigation is ongoing.
