WASHINGTON -- Bringing smiles and inspiring the next generation of explorers, National Geographic and Starlight Children's Foundation unleashed the power of play by surprising young patients at Children's National Hospital with a special visit by Critter Fixers veterinarian Dr. Hodges and a few furry sidekicks!

"It's really meaningful for National Geographic to bring joy to patients' lives and hopefully inspire them all to become explorers or photographers or scientists in the future when they grow up," said Courteney Monroe, President of National Geographic.

Dr. Hodges added that what he hopes the kids were able to take away from the event is that, "We care. Its that Disney cares, Starlight cares, National Geographic cares."
