Search for gunman after man shot and killed in parking lot of Newark laundromat

NEWARK (WABC) -- Police are searching for the person who shot and killed a man in a parking lot in Newark.

The victim has been identified as 28-year old Hassan Chatmon of East Orange.

Investigators say he was shot in the parking lot of a laundromat on Central Avenue at around 9 o'clock Saturday night. The laundromat was open at the time.

Chatmon died later at the hospital.

No arrests have been made.
