MORRISTOWN, NJ -- A Massachusetts woman who fatally shot another woman on a New Jersey street has testified that she plotted the shooting with the victim's husband.

Antoinette Stephen took the stand Tuesday in the murder trial of Kashif Parvaiz. She was due to return Wednesday, when she will be cross-examined by defense lawyers.

Parvaiz, a New York City resident, maintains his innocence in the August 2011 slaying of his 27-year-old wife, Nazish Noorani. She was killed while she and Parvaiz walked with one of their young sons in Boonton.

Stephen testified that she and Parvaiz were having a sexual relationship. She said he "disliked" his wife and had considered several ways to kill her.

Morris County prosecutors claim the pair wanted the shooting to look like a bias attack.

Stephen, of Billerica, pleaded guilty last May to murder and other offenses.
