NEW YORK (WABC) -- The legendary ticket quotas of the NYPD have become the cornerstones for two class action lawsuits, and the plaintiffs are expected to speak out Wednesday.

The lawsuits are being filed on behalf of four police officers and six city traffic agents.

They say the quota system harms officers and traffic agents alike and negatively impacts the city's African American and Latino communities.

The civil suits also say that officers are punished when they are unwilling to target their own minority communities just to reach a quota.
