2-alarm fire damages building in Fordham area

BRONX, N.Y. (WABC) -- A two-alarm fire burned through a building in the Bronx.

The fire broke out just before 3:15 a.m. and burned through the roof of a building in the 500 block of an East Fordham Road building.

One person sustained a non-life threatening injury.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. The building housed a restaurant on the first floor and apartments above.

East Fordham Road, near Fordham University, was closed for the fire department investigation.
