Bruising prompts investigation of baby's death in the Bronx

THROGGS NECK (WABC) -- Bruising has prompted the investigation of a baby's death in the Bronx.

Police say Diana Rivera's father found her lifeless in her crib Sunday morning in a Throggs Neck apartment.

Rivera was taken to Jacobi Hospital, where she died.

The Daily News reports the 2-month-old had bruising on her left arm and backside.

The medical examiner will determine the cause of death.
