Edward Ramirez is charged with unlawful surveillance for allegedly putting a camera in a restaurant ladies room

GLEN HEAD, N.Y. (WABC) -- A Glen Cove man has been arrested, accused of filming women in the bathroom at a Nassau County restaurant.

According to police, Edward Ramirez, 43, was arrested and charged with unlawful surveillance on Wednesday.

On Wednesday, a woman saw a man leaving the women's bathroom at Jack's Shack restaurant in Glen Head. She went into the bathroom and noticed a recording cell phone taped under the sink pointed at her, according to the Nassau County Police Department.

She called police. Ramirez works at the restaurant and was arrested at the scene.

He is scheduled for arraignment Thursday.

Ramirez also was charged in December with first-degree sexual abuse, and endangering the welfare of a child, accused of exposing himself to two children at a grocery store.
