Yonkers man shot in a car on Interstate 87 North

YONKERS, N.Y. (WABC) -- A Yonkers man was shot while riding in a car on Interstate 87 North early Wednesday morning.

The victim, 23, was a passenger in a vehicle and was shot in the arm at about 1 a.m. near Exit 2, according to New York State troopers. He was treated and released. The driver was not injured.

The suspect was in an SUV, but no further details or description are available. The SUV fled the scene

The incident is under investigation.
