Woman from Morris County, New Jersey killed in shooting at Florida condo

CAPE CORAL, Florida (WABC) -- Authorities are investigating a shooting at a Florida condominium complex that killed a woman from New Jersey.



Police in Cape Coral responded to the scene Thursday morning.



Two people sustained gunshot wounds and were transported to a local hospital for treatment.



One of the victims died, and has been identified by police as 20-year-old Bridget Quinn, who is from Morris County.



Cape Coral Police Department Patrol Bureau officers, Major Crimes Unit (MCU) detectives, Forensics personnel were at the scene for several hours, interviewing witnesses, and gathering evidence.



"As it is still very early on in this investigation, we are not able to go into detail regarding the specifics of this tragic incident. We do want to re-emphasize the point that there is no danger to the public at large as a result of this incident or any events surrounding it," said Lt. Dana Coston, Cape Coral Police Department Public Affairs Officer.
