Paterson man charged in death of 2-month-old boy faces court hearing

PATERSON (WABC) -- A New Jersey man charged in the death of his 2-month-old infant son will appear in court Thursday.

Tyreek Saunders, 21, of Paterson is facing manslaughter charges after Passaic County prosecutors say the infant was found dead in his crib last October.

An autopsy revealed brain and skeletal injuries that led the medical examiner's office to rule the death a homicide.

Saunders' juvenile teenage girlfriend has also been charged in the case.
