NYPD officer injured while chasing suspect in East Harlem

EAST HARLEM -- An NYPD police officer was injured was he was struck by the mirror of a vehicle while pursuing a suspect on foot.

The officer, assigned to the 25 Precinct, was struck by the mirror of a van at Park Avenue and East 120 street just before 12:20 p.m.

He was taken to St. Luke's Hospital in stable condition.
