Police looking for man who tried to rape woman, 21, on street in Brooklyn

PARK SLOPE, Brooklyn (WABC) -- Police are looking for a man they say threw a woman to the ground in Brooklyn and tried to rape her.



The NYPD released a sketch of the suspect who attacked a 21-year-old girl Sunday morning on 2nd Street between 7th Avenue and 8th Avenue.



He grabbed her from behind, pushed her down and pulled off her underwear, according to investigators.



Police say she fought him off and yelled for help.



They say he took off in a dark-colored Acura and fled westbound on 2nd Street.



A surveillance photo of the car was also released.




The suspect is described as a male Hispanic or Indian, 20 to 25 years old, 5'8" to 6'0", 170lbs to 180 lbs; last seen wearing light colored shorts and a light colored shirt.
