2 people critically injured in East New York fire

EAST NEW YORK, Brooklyn (WABC) -- Two people were critically injured in a house fire in Brooklyn early Wednesday morning.

The fire broke out at 4:15 a.m. on the top floor of the Bradford Street house in East New York.

The victims were rushed to Brookdale University Hospital in critical condition.

Twelve units with 60 firefighters and EMS personnel responded to the scene.

The fire was brought under control just before 5 a.m.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
