
FORDHAM, Bronx (WABC) -- A four-alarm fire is burning in two homes in the Fordham section of the Bronx, injuring two firefighters.
The fire started in the basement of one home on Briggs Avenue just after 8 a.m. on Thursday and spread to another.
More than 230 firefighters and EMS responded to the scene.
Along with the fire, the emergency responders are coping with poor air quality.
Two firefighters were being treated for injuries, one for heat exposure.
Eyewitness News was there as a firefighter was taken away on a stretcher. He was awake and coherent.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
