Fire truck crashes into apartment building in West Haverstraw, Rockland County

WEST HAVERSTRAW, New York (WABC) -- A fire truck crashed into an apartment building in West Haverstraw shortly after midnight on Thursday.

Officials say an underwater search-and-rescue truck struck the building, causing significant damage to the first floor. The truck was later towed from the scene.

It was not immediately clear whether anyone was injured.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
