NEW JERSEY (WABC) -- Parts of New Jersey are under a Flash Flood Warning on Thursday afternoon as heavy rain falls across parts of the Garden State.
There are reports of flooding in New Brunswick, where officials say some roadways are flooded and drivers should use caution.
Police in Keyport say there are multiple road closures due to flash flooding.
And authorities in Hazlet Township said there are multiple roadways that are either already flooded or beginning to flood.
New Jersey Gov. Mikie Sherrill released a statement warning residents not to drive through flooded streets:
"Parts of the state are under a Flash Flood Warning through this evening's commute. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Please plan ahead, stay safe, and do not drive through flooded areas."
