The national chapter of Alpha Sigma Phi announced on Friday, that they have closed the fraternity's chapter at Rutgers following their own investigation.
Crews have been hard at work cleaning the damage while police are working to find the suspects involved in this act of vandalism aimed at Muslim students on campus.
The Center for Islamic Life said in a statement on its Facebook page that the incident was "undoubtedly fueled by Islamophobia" and is "clearly a hate crime."
One woman, a student at Rutgers University, was hit by a stray bullet inside her home. A second Rutgers University student was also hurt.
The victims, who are all affiliated with the school, reported damage to their vehicle and items of value missing.
