Man punches victim on MTA bus in Queens

Police are looking for a man in connection with a brutal attack on an MTA bus in Queens.

ASTORIA, Queens (WABC) -- Police are looking for a man in connection with a brutal attack on an MTA bus in Queens.

Around noon July 8, at 21st Street and 35th Avenue, a man was sitting on the Q66 bus when another man approached him and punched the victim, causing a cut.

The victim ran to the front of the bus and escaped, going to a nearby hospital were he was treated and released.

The suspect was last seen getting off the bus at the rear. Nothing was stolen during the assault.

Police are looking for a Hispanic man, about 30, 5 feet 8 inches tall, with short dark hair, and a mustache and goatee. He was last seen wearing a dark gray T-shirt and dark colored pants.
