SHARE's services, including survivor-led helplines and support groups, are designed for women from diverse backgrounds who are facing varied circumstances, including those who feel more comfortable communicating in Spanish, as well as women under forty, African-American women, and Japanese women, among others. In addition, help is available in 15 additional languages through SHARE's helplines.
"Women of all ages, ethnicities, and backgrounds get breast and ovarian cancers," says Jacqueline Reinhard, SHARE's Executive Director. "When it comes to diagnosis, the disease doesn't discriminate. And SHARE exists to help everyone with crucial support, life-saving information, and guidance that suits the needs of each woman."
The NYC female chef community is on board with this mission, and for the 12th year, they are joining with SHARE to present this food event in New York City. Accompanying the chefs are female celebrities who serve as sous chefs.
A Second Helping of Life has raised over $4 million for SHARE, enabling this organization to continue to support women of all ages, ethnicities, and backgrounds affected by breast and ovarian cancers. Individual tickets are $325, $500 and $750. Tables of 8 and 10 are priced from $5,000 up to $25,000.
