Ways to beat the madness, save on Black Friday
Nina Pineda has 7 on your Side.

NEW YORK (WABC) -- Black Friday's the time for tech. Make your move if you're eyeing anything with a screen, small, medium, or large.

Ben Glaser of Dealnews.com's advice IS don't get hung up on name brands, stores will be stocking up on door-buster deals that are steals.

"Black Friday is about getting cheap stuff even cheaper. So this name brand TV will be on sale but the best deals will come from the off-brands," says Glaser.

When it comes to computers though, look for all-time lows on names you know.

"Black Friday is the best time to buy a laptop. We're seeing mainstream 15 inch TVs for $300. That's hundreds off the usual price," says Glaser.

Sales of smartphones will also soar on the season's biggest shopping day. "We're seeing Verizon offer, this phone for new customers for a $400 Visa gift card and a $100 credit," says Glaser. "That's like getting a $500 rebate."

Apple fans hoping to take a bite out of big prices will get a break Black Friday, but how much depends on where you shop.

"The Apple store itself has some lackluster deals. We encourage people to look at Best Buy and Amazon and other secondary resellers," says Glaser.

Some of Ben's other big tips include bringing Black Friday ads from competitors if you don't see what you want on sale, and look for bundles.

"You can not only get a current generation console of PS4 or Xbox 1, but it comes bundled with multiple popular titles, a headset for $300," says Ben.

Deals on appliances will be abundant on Black Friday. Kitchen and household gadgets will hit annual lows. And winter apparel will also be advertised on sale, but Ben says hold off till after the holiday.

"The best deals are on Thanksgiving, that is the biggest day of the whole year for deals," says Ben.
