Snoop Dogg says he's quitting smoking
Snoop Dogg, the highly notorious weed ambassador, may be putting out the blunt for good.

SAN FRANCISCO -- Snoop Dogg, the highly notorious weed ambassador, may be putting out the blunt for good. At least that's what we thought when he put out a cryptic social media message to the world.

On Thursday, he posted this statement on social media saying:

"After much consideration and conversation with my family, I've decided to give up smoke."

He went on to ask fans to respect his privacy at this time.

Turns out, the lifestyle and business departure for Snoop was a pre-planned publicity stunt for Solo Stove, a fireless "smokeless" fire pit. Snoop ran an advertisement with the company on Monday following all the buzz by his faux announcement.

If Snoop had given up weed for good, it would have been quite the lifestyle and business departure for someone who has a branded line of weed -- recently launching a product with Martha Stewart called the "Best Buds Bag" -- with a built-in lighter holder and a "secret stash pocket."
