MIDTOWN, Manhattan (WABC) -- The man who stripped and danced around naked in Times Square will soon have his charges dismissed after prosecutors chalked up the public display up to "a manic episode."
21-year-old Krit McClean received an adjournment in contemplation of dismissal when he appeared in court Friday morning on the June 30 incident.
Public lewdness, disorderly conduct and exposure charges against McClean will be dismissed if he stays out of trouble for the next six months.
He will also have to continue psychiatric treatment and take his prescribed medication.
Prosecutors offered the arrangement after concluding the incident "likely took place while the defendant was experiencing a manic episode, which was the first episode in his life."
He is due back in court Nov. 4 for a status update.
McClean was reportedly dropped from his job by the Ford Modeling Agency.
He broke his arm when he jumped from the TKTS booth after badgering police in the June 30th incident.
The 21-year-old Columbia student has been undergoing psychiatric treatment for weeks.
