T.E.A.L. Walk/Run for Ovarian Cancer

NEW YORK -- Come celebrate Ovarian Cancer Awareness month by participating in the annual T.E.A.L. Walk/Run for Ovarian Cancer!

On Saturday September 6th, 2014, Tell Every Amazing Lady About Ovarian Cancer also know as T.E.A.L. will be hosting its 6th Annual T.E.A.L. Walk/Run for Ovarian Cancer in Prospect Park, Brooklyn.

Every year at the T.E.A.L. Walk/Run thousands of participants, supporters and volunteers gather at the Prospect Park Bandshell in Brooklyn to take a united stand against Ovarian Cancer and celebrate those who have been touched by this devastating disease.

The T.E.A.L. Walk/Run is the largest Ovarian Cancer Walk in New York City. The money raised goes directly towards Ovarian Cancer research and awareness programs that work towards the goal of ending Ovarian Cancer.

T.E.A.L. is a grassroots 501C3 not-for-profit organization founded by two sisters from Brooklyn, with the mission to promote public awareness and education of the signs, symptoms and risk factors of Ovarian Cancer, while providing support to survivors and raising funds for research in order to find the cure for Ovarian Cancer. There is no screening test for Ovarian Cancer, and it is the leading cause of death among gynecological cancers.

Through the annual T.E.A.L. Walk/Run and other events throughout the year T.E.A.L. has raised over a million dollars benefiting Ovarian Cancer research and awareness programs. Help this local 501c3 not for profit spread awareness, fund research and save lives by participating in the Walk or 5K Run.

The event is a family-friendly day in the park with festivities such as face painting, shopping, educational booths, live stage performances and guest speakers. Additionally, T.E.A.L. will host a special Survivors' Ceremony on the day of the Walk/Run that will honor those who have fought this devastating disease, as well as Memory and Honor activities to honor those we have lost the battle against Ovarian Cancer.
