NEW YORK -- Pro-choice supporters briefly ran on the court during Tuesday night's WNBA game between the New York Liberty and Minnesota Lynx at Barclays Center.

The protesters, who were shirtless but had their chests covered, were escorted off the court by security. While they rushed the court, other protesters in the crowd held up signs in support of Roe v. Wade and abortion rights.

None of the protesters attempted to go near the players.

Liberty guard Sabrina Ionescu said she thought the protesters were entertainers when she first saw them come on the court.

"I really wasn't sure what was going on," Ionescu said. "It took me a little bit of time to process. It was a little crazy. Props to the security to get everyone off the floor. But good for them, I guess. If it solves something, I'm all for it."

Fellow Liberty player Rebecca Allen, who is a native of Australia, added of the protesters, "I'm all for the message. And I'm happy that we were able to log back into the game and continue playing."
