NEW YORK (WABC) -- N and Q trains are once again running between Queens and Manhattan after being suspended earlier because of a track fire near Queensboro Plaza.

The trains were suspended between 57th Street-7th Avenue and Astoria-Ditmars Blvd., disrupting service to and from Astoria.

In addition, Manhattan-bound R trains ran on the F line from Jackson Heights to 57th Street in Manhattan.

The FDNY responded to the blaze, after insulation on the 3rd rail caught fire. This was not a case of something being thrown on the tracks, authorities say.
