NEW YORK (WABC) -- New York City's annual St. Patrick's Day Parade will take place Friday at 11 a.m. in Manhattan.
The parade begins on Fifth Avenue at 44th Street. It ends on 5th Avenue uptown at 79th Street.
The honorary grand marshal is Michael Dowling, CEO of Northwell Health.
Mayor de Blasio will march, as he did last year, after gay and lesbian groups were allowed to participate. The mayor boycotted when he first took office.
Some 2 million people lined the streets or participated in last year's parade.
