NEW YORK (WABC) -- It was a week of horrible fires for New York and the FDNY.
A deadly house fire in Brooklyn killed 7 children last weekend.
And then Thursday afternoon - an enormous explosion in the East Village of Manhattan.
Firefighters rushed to both scenes, and leading them was the Commissioner of the FDNY, Daniel Nigro, who joins us this week.
We taped the interview on Thursday, just hours after the explosion.
Also, there are big changes in store for day care centers in New York City.
New regulations are now in effect, governing how much TV time children can log, to how much sugary juice they can drink.
Joining us are two child care experts from NYU Langone Medical Center.
Dr. Julie G. Capiola, a clinical instructor and pediatrician.
And child psychologist Kirsten Cullen Sharma, a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
