FLUSHING -- An investigation is underway in Queens after a woman's body was found in a park with multiple slash wounds. Her body was found in Kissena Park in Flushing. Police arrived to the scene just before 3 p.m. Sunday.
Investigators were working deep into the park, but it is still unclear how the woman ended up dead.
Police say they responded to a call about an unresponsive woman with multiple stab wounds on her neck and stomach. EMS later pronounced her dead.
People who walk in the park say that the situation has them on edge.
"I'll be more careful, maybe I won't go into that trail," said one resident.
Investigators tell Eyewitness News they will work through the night. There have been no arrests.
