Yonkers fire overnight leaves 1 resident, 8 firefighters hurt

YONKERS, New York (WABC) -- One resident and eight firefighters sustained minor injuries in a fire in Yonkers.

The two-alarm blaze was at an apartment building on Park Avenue early Wednesday morning.

Residents of the apartment that caught fire and the one above it cannot return to their homes.

The other residents in the building returned to the building.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
