Sanitation worker may lose legs

Involved in accident with alleged drunk driver

Eyewitness News has learned a sanitation worker in Bayonne may lose both his legs after being struck by an alleged drunk driver this morning. Police say the worker, on a sanitation vehicle at West 27th Street and Kennedy Boulevard was struck by another car about 6:30 a.m.

The woman driving the car is expected to be will be charged with drunk driving.

The woman had to be extricated from her vehicle by firefighters and was taken to a local hopistal.
