Loews Hotels CEO leaving NYC tourism agency

NEW YORK The 54-year-old Tisch says it's time to move on. He has served in the unpaid post of chairman of NYC & Company since 2002. Tisch also is a co-owner of the New York Giants.

Mayor Michael Bloomberg said Sunday that Tisch helped New York welcome a record 46 million visitors last year.

The mayor says he'd like to thank Tisch for all his hard work and wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors.

NYC & Company's chief executive will take over as interim chairman until a replacement for Tisch is named.
