The stars of the new "Sex and the City" movie gave Oprah their first interview together Thursday afternoon. Excitement is growing for the opening of the film later this month.

Eyewitness News reporter Lauren Glassberg has more on the hype.

The new movie, of course, means new merchandise to sell. And while you won't see little Sex and the City action figures or toys, there are quite a few things in the marketplace.

James Costos is with HBO, where Sex and the City had its long run. And now with the movie coming out, there's more merchandise for sale. The HBO store in Midtown stocks items from all its shows, but Sex and the City items far outsell the others.

"We have a Sex and the City tour that stops here twice a day," Costos said. "So girls are rampant and they come off the bus, and this is the first part of the store they run to.

And some of the new items include a tote bag, a yoga bag, an apron, T-shirts, a charm bracelet and a $13 shoe bag for your $600 Manolos.

Carrie Bradshaw had a passion for shoes and fashion. And Guido Campello's family makes Cosabella undergarments. So with the movie coming out, his brand is offering up lingerie that reflects each of the Sex and the City characters.

Samantha's character get the garter set, while Charlotte's is on the other end of the spectrum.

"Charlotte is an eco-fabric," Campello said. "It's 100 percent natural. So Charlotte being more home, cutesy, loungy, this is a great collection for her."

For Miranda, a matching set of boyshorts and a lacy bra. And for Carrie...

"We have a bustier that's an inner or outerwear piece," he said. "It can be worn with a skirt or with pants, or at home with your little panty."

One of the places they'll be sold is at La Petite Coquette.

"The Sex and the City girls inspire women to feel great about themselves through the lingerie," owner Rebecca Aspan said.

But Costos says men shouldn't feel left out.

"It's a good gift," he said.

The Sex and the City merchandise runs from $13 to about $40. As for the Cosabella lingerie, it runs from $24 to $100.
