Authorities say they are investigating whether inflammatory language found on a wall of a Long Island strip mall was directed at Hispanics. The graffiti was found Monday night in Bay Shore.

Suffolk County Executive Steve Levy says it included such phrases as "Latinos go home," "Get out of the USA," and "leave or die."

Dan Aug, a spokesman for the county executive, says it is not clear who was the intened target of the graffiti. He says the strip mall has several Hispanic-owned stores but that the graffiti did not appear on any of those businesses.

Aug says the writing is being investigated as a hate incident of making graffiti.
