Wade had reportedly been staying with Showard and his wife in their third-floor apartment. She was taken in by the couple after a recent eviction from her residence, according to authorities.
The suspect fled the scene, police said.
Wade has a prior arrest for hacking a man in the head with a meat cleaver and threatening another with a steak knife, police said. She has numerous other prior arrests.
