Child clings to life after hit & run

BROOKLYN The little girls mother says its hard to imagine anyone running down a child and leaving..

As if that's not enough witnesses tell police he screamed and cursed at the little girl blaming her for it before taking off.

Kema Brown went to see her 9-year-old daughter before she undergoes surgery for massive head injuries.

Browns daughter had left their apartment last night with her two cousins for something to eat and drink. Then A few blocks away on Rockaway near Glenmore Avenue police say a man driving a tan Maxima mowed her down and left her near death in the street.

"He needs to turn himself in I wouldn't be able to live with myself knowing I damn near killed a little girl," said Brown.

The driver didn't just end it there. Police say while she suffered the driver stopped to scream and curse at her, calling her stupid among other things.

Near the 73rd police precinct cops found the suspects tan Nissan Maxima but have yet to make an arrest, leaving a little girl in critical condition and a mother looking for the peson to blame.

Naciremas mother says doctors told her she has a 50 percent chance to live.

Anyone with information on the suspect should call police right away
