When officials arrived they found a newborn baby girl in a Polo gym bag on Clinton Street and Van Cott Avenue. She was reportedly wrapped in clothing.
Eyewitness News is told she is 6-pounds, 12-ounces and still attached to the umbilical cord. She was taken to an area hospital where she was in good condition.
Police are asking anyone with information to give them a call right away.
