Feinstein no show at Dems Convention

WASHINGTON . Feinstein, who was one of Hillary Rodham Clinton's top supporters, was to have chaired California's delegation to the convention in Denver.

Feinstein says in a statement that she slipped and broke her ankle Friday while taking a walk in the forest in Lake Tahoe with Democratic Rep. Ellen Tauscher of California.

Feinstein was at a gathering of elected officials for what was called the Lake Tahoe Summit.

She said her doctor has advised her not to travel.
