Police: Man fatally stabs his roommate

FLUSHING Police say the 47-year-old suspect and his roommate had a dispute inside their Sanford Avenue apartment building just before midnight. That's when the suspect fatally stabbed his 43-year-old roomate once in the torso.

After the killing, Eyewitness News is told the suspect calmly called 911 and waited for the police to arrive.

Authorities found the victim in the first floor lobby, outside their apartment, his lifeless body lying in a large pool of blood.

The suspect was taken to the 109th Precinct for questioning. No charges were immediately filed.
