The suspect is described as a white male, 30 to 40 years old, standing 5-foot-8 and weighing about 180 pounds. He was wearing a white collared stripped shirt, blue jeans and white sneakers.
The suspect fled the scene, and the victim was transported to an area hospital where she was treated and released.
Anyone with information in regards to this case is asked to call the NYPD's CrimeStoppers hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS.
A $12,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect in this case.
