Authorities say he verbally harassed his wheelchair-bound victim, hitting him in the face and causing severe swelling, pain and bruising. He then locked the victim in a room, removed the phone and left for two hours, police said.
Christie was arrested Wednesday night in the Jamaica section of Queens.
He is charged with endangering the welfare of an elderly person, unlawful imprisonment and assault.
