Firefighters injured when wall collapses

A New York City firefighter remained in the hospital after a wall collapsed on him battling a fire in Brooklyn. The fire broke out inside the Collector's Fantasy at 222 Kings Highway just after 11 a.m. this morning.

It burned through the first-floor store and two apartments on the above floors.

After the fire was put out, a firefighter was hurt when a rear wall collapsed onto him.

He was searching the building when he was hit by the falling wall.

The injured firefighter listed in stable condition with shoulder injuries at a hospital on Tuesday night.

Three other firefighters and seven residents were also treated for minor injuries.

The cause of the fire was under investigation.
