A barbershop called "The Hood" was the alleged base of the operation, though the owner adamantly disagrees.
Prosecutors say the ring leaders, all in their mid-30s, are considered to be upper-level dealers distributing several hundred grams of cocaine and a 100 bricks of heroin each week in an area were residents fear for their safety.
Authorities say the bust, which involved local, state and federal agencies, will put a dent in gang activity.
Officials say that since beefing up gang crackdowns last year, crime has been coming down all over the state.
