NYPD: Times Square fight started with shoving

NEW YORK Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly says the teens from Newark, N.J., were shoving people on the street in the tourist area around 1:30 a.m. Saturday. He says the Brooklyn teens confronted the Newark group and stabbed three of them.

The victims were hospitalized in stable condition later Saturday. They and seven others were arrested on charges including disorderly conduct, assault and gang assault, though Kelly said police didn't believe the fight was related to organized gangs.

All are between 17 and 19.
