Hit and run driver strikes NJ pedestrian

A pedestrian was struck in a hit and run outside of Kean University in Union this morning. The man, in his 20s, was struck on North Avenue, near Morris Avenue, just before 2:45 a.m. He was rushed to a nearby hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The vehicle, a white four-door newer model sedan, fled the scene. No arrests were immediately made.

North Avenue was briefly closed for a police investigation.
