State parks officials say a beach called West End 2 also will be closed. It had been available for swimming on weekends in recent summers.
That means swimmers will have to go elsewhere in Jones Beach park, and some may not get in when it's crowded.
Visitors at five other Long Island state parks will be turned away from some facilities or encounter reduced hours.
