Cub debuts at Bronx Zoo

BRONX Wildlife Conservation Society director Jim Breheny says "Moxie" is the first lion cub born at the Bronx Zoo in 31 years.

Her parents were part of the zoo's breeding program. The cub weighed 3 pounds at birth on November 6, 2008. Zookeepers say Moxie could grow to 350 pounds.

The zoo says cold weather delayed the cub's debut until Wednesday. Moxie joins the other lions living at the African Plains exhibit.
