Seton Hall arsonist released on parole

YARDVILLE, N.J. Twenty-eight-year-old Sean Ryan served two years and four months of a five-year sentence. He left the Garden State Youth Correctional Facility in Yardville Wednesday morning.

Ryan and his co-defendant, 28-year-old Joseph LePore, both of Florham Park, were sentenced in January 2007 after accepting a plea deal that dismissed homicide charges.

LePore, who also pleaded guilty to eluding arrest, is eligible for parole in November.

In what they called a prank, the freshman roommates at the South Orange campus set fire to a paper banner in a lounge area and the fire spread.
